Distributed Power Generation Systems (DPGS)\udbased on inverters require reliable islanding detection algorithms\ud(passive or active) in order to determine the electrical grid status\udand operate the grid connected inverter properly. These methods\udare based on the analysis of the DPGS voltage, current and power\udin time or frequency domain.\udThis paper proposes a time-frequency detection algorithm\udbased on monitoring the DPGS output power considering the\udinfluence of the PWM, the output LCL filter and of the employed\udcurrent controller. Wavelet analysis is applied to obtain time localization\udof the islanding condition. Simulation and experimental\udresults show the performance of the proposed detection algorithm\udalso in comparison with existing methods.
